The expression is very neutral making the focus more on the eyes. What this would say to the viewer

The background was shot inside in a studio.The relationship between the background and the subject is that the background is very plain and blurry making the subject be the entire focus.   

Body Posture:

The posture of the woman is very natural because she's leaning forward and has her arms around the dog. The length of the picture is a medium shot. The positioning of the subject connection to the relationship of the environment being the dog and the surrounding area would be that the subject is very close to the dog like they are one. 

Eyes & Direction of gaze:

The subject's eyes are looking straight at the camera lens. What I could guess how this would say about the photographer is the amount of trust and the trust with animals.

In this picture, colour is a significant part because of the eyes, and how they are two different colours. The picture is low contrast.

Conclusion:

Why I was first drawn to the photo is because of the eyes and how they are completely different colours. I also like it because to me behind those eyes I feel like there's a story, like why are the eyes so different.
